Sree Tips: Best Smartphone Apps
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - There are millions of smartphone apps to choose from, but it's hard to know which ones are worth trying.
Sree Sreenivasan, tech expert from our partner network CNET and Columbia University's Chief Digital Officer, stopped by with some that are worth it.
The first one is called RUMGR, which is free for iPhone. You can find people selling things near you, like a virtual garage sale finder.
Up next was Room 77, an app that helps you book a hotel room. It's free for iPhone and Android. It's simple and accesses more than 200,000 hotel room.
There is also Instacast, which is free for iPhone. It's a great way to learn about podcasts, which are audio or video shows that you can download and watch while not connected to the internet.
