Southwest Airlines Employee Allegedly Strikes Co-Worker With Pipe After Argument
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A Southwest Airlines employee is in serious condition after an altercation with a co-worker Tuesday afternoon at LaGuardia Airport's Central Terminal, according to the Port Authority.
It is not clear what the employees were fighting about, but a Port Authority spokesman told 1010 WINS two airline employees were arguing about something when one hit the other with a pipe.
Some reports said the alleged assailant made a run for it, but was quickly picked up by Port Authority police.
Charges have not been filed.
The Southwest employees involved in the altercation have not been identified.
Southwest says it is cooperating with authorities conducting an investigation.
