Port Authority Bus Terminal Reopens After Brief Evacuation From Possible Gas Leak
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Bus service has resumed at the Port Authority Bus Terminal after the south wing was evacuated on a report of a possible gas leak.
The report came in around 8:15 a.m. Wednesday. The terminal was briefly closed and buses were halted as a precaution as Con Edison crews investigated.
Around 9 a.m., the terminal was declared safe and was reopened.
NJ TRANSIT had been discharging passengers on 10th Avenue instead of inside the terminal while it was closed.
