South Nyack Residents Don't Want Parking For New TZ Bridge Traffic
SOUTH NYACK, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) - Residents of South Nyack voiced opposition to a plan to raze Village Hall to make room for a parking lot at a public hearing Thursday night.
As WCBS 880's Sean Adams reported, a shared use path going in on the new Tappan Zee Bridge currently under construction. The path is expected to draw bikers, joggers and walkers who will need parking on either end of the span.

Rather than level Village Hall to out in a parking lot, the Journal News reported residents instead want Interchange 10 redesigned to allow parking there instead of in the village proper.
Mayor Bonnie Christian has said they're still exploring concepts.
"The new bridge is coming, the shared path is coming. We have to figure out the best way to the least impact on our residents and on our village," she said.
Christian added the state will not force anything on the village.
"I think they see that we're steadfast, we're not going to allow us to be a dumping ground. And I have to say, they've come around and they've been working with us," she told Adams.
On the Westchester side of the span, there are talks of putting a parking lot, bathrooms and a cafe where the state police barracks stand now in Tarrytown.
