Sources: Ex-Yankee Moseley Nearing Deal With Padres
SAN DIEGO (AP) — Two people familiar with the negotiations tell The Associated Press that right-hander Dustin Moseley is nearing agreement on a one-year deal with the San Diego Padres.
The people spoke Tuesday on condition of anonymity because an agreement had not been announced.
Moseley became a free agent after the New York Yankees were eliminated from the playoffs by Texas.
He was 4-4 with a 4.96 ERA in 16 appearances with the Yankees, including nine starts.
Moseley pitched with the Los Angeles Angels from 2006-09.
