Sources: Armored Truck Robbery Possibly An Inside Job
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Thursday's heist of $500,000 from an armored truck in Brooklyn might have been an inside job, WCBS 880's Irene Cornell reported.
The truck's two guards failed an FBI lie-detector test, law enforcement sources said. The questions on the test reportedly included "did you steal the money?" and "did you know the money was going to be stolen?"
No charges have been filed against the guards. The investigation is ongoing.

The driver told investigators that he was making a delivery at a Pay-o-Matic check store in Canarsie around 10:30 a.m., when he was approached by a masked suspect dressed all in black, police said. The driver said the suspect knocked on the door, and he opened it, mistakenly believing it was his colleague, authorities said.
The suspect then forced his way into the armored vehicle, operated by Rapid Armored Company of Brooklyn, and held an object behind the driver's head, the driver told investigators.
The driver, believing it was a gun pointed to his head, told police he drove the suspect to the intersection of Linden Boulevard and Rockaway Avenue. The suspect then took a white duffel bag containing $500,000 and fled, the driver said, according to officials.
FBI investigators are skeptical of the driver's story, sources said, in part because his description of the suspect's clothing was vastly different from what the other guard was wearing, and the windows of the truck were easy to see through.
