Songwriter Joseph Brooks Leaves Nothing In Will For His Children
NEW YORK (WCBS 880) - Best known from his award-winning ballad "You light up my life," songwriter/producer Joseph Brooks killed himself using a mail order helium suicide kit.
That suicide kept him from going to trial for allegedly sexually assaulting thirteen young would-be starlets.
Now, his will reveals that he decided to light up only one life with the money he left.
$250,000 is going to the attractive young woman who was his personal trainer in recent years.

His four kids get nothing.
That includes Nicholas Brooks - his son accused of murdering his swimsuit designer girlfriend Sylvie Cachay at the Soho House hotel.
Ironically, the attorney representing Cachay's family thinks Nicholas Brooks should get a share of his father's fortune and then he could be sued for it.
