Some Greenpoint Residents Fed Up With Constant Film Production
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Some Brooklyn residents are getting fed up with film production in their neighborhood.
Monitor Street in Greenpoint is a popular spot for production companies.
"This neighborhood probably gets a disproportionate number of location shots coming to it because we're so close to all the studios," one resident said. "They're pushing the envelope a little bit and wearing out their welcome."

"All the studios are over here and I think it's probably cheaper than filming in Manhattan," another resident said.
Although the street can be seen in many television shows and movies, residents said the fame isn't worth the hassle.
Residents claim it's impossible to find parking during filming and oftentimes no-parking signs will go up across the neighborhood days before production begins.
But one resident said, "Those signs are an idle threat because they're not always issued the right to tow."
A spokesman for the city said any issues arising from location filming can be resolved through the on-site production manager or by contacting the Office of Film, Theater and Broadcasting by dialing 311.
The city's Office of Media and Entertainment said the film and TV industry employs over 130,000 New Yorkers, contributes approximately $1.7 billion to the local economy annually and helps out local businesses across the five boroughs.
