Somali Terror Suspect Makes First Appearance In New York Courtroom
NEW YORK (WCBS 880/AP) - A Somali citizen arrested on terrorism charges after he was interrogated aboard a U.S. warship made his first public court appearance in New York City Thursday.

Ahmed Abdulkadir Warsame was captured in April on charges of providing weapons and military training to two notorious terrorist organizations - Al-Shabab and Al-Qaida - in the Arab peninsula.
He's also charged with using automatic weapons and explosives in the name of their cause.
The case against Warsame answers one large question about the Obama administration's strategy against terrorism: What would they do when capturing a major terrorist overseas since the CIA's so-called 'black sites' have been shut down?
In the case of Warsame, he was held and interrogated aboard a United States warship for two months before being brought to New York to face the terrorism charges.
