Pair Of Snow Systems To Impact Tri-State This Weekend
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Two snow systems are expected to move into the area Thursday night into Saturday afternoon.
The first system, which will arrive late Thursday into early Friday morning will leave about a dusting to 1/2 inch of snow. CBS 2 meteorologist Vanessa Murdock said the Friday morning commute should not be significantly impacted.

Friday will see temperatures in the 30's and plenty of sun. However, snow will begin to develop Friday night with accumulation coming in the early morning hours of Saturday.
Saturday will see measurable snow totals ranging from about 1 to 3 inches in New York City and as much as 3 to 6 inches north and west of I-287. The snowfall should wrap up around 4 p.m. Saturday.
Forecasters say roads could be slippery and drivers should be careful.
Last winter, the Tri-State Area had almost 32 inches of snow to deal with through January 19. However, so far this winter we've had just 2.9 inches.
Ahead of that, the New York City Department of Sanitation has issued a snow alert. That means sanitation workers will start getting ready for any snow that hits the city by loading salt spreaders and preparing tire chains on sanitation vehicles.
