Snow Equipment Suppliers Want Real Snowfall
FARMINGDALE, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) - Most of the snow we've had this year hasn't been enough to even mess up the commute and, for some, that has been bad for business.
Outside Kings Hardware in Farmingdale, there are stacks of snow shovels, salt melt, and other winter supplies in need of a home.
"It's been cold, but hasn't been snowy, so, and that's what really sells it. People see snow, ice, that's what sells the products - the choppers and shovels, stuff like that," Assistant Manager Anthony Gambooza told WCBS 880 Long Island Bureau Chief Mike Xirinachs.

This somewhat snowless season is coming off one of the mildest winters on record.
That's not good, according to Gambooza.
"We need bad weather sometimes to get things stimulated here," he said.
Gambooza said we don't need a blizzard, just enough snow to help sell some piled up supplies.
