Small Plane Makes Emergency Landing At Robert Moses State Park
NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) -- A small plane made an emergency landing at Robert Moses State Park on Saturday morning.
Shortly before 9 a.m. State Police received an emergency call about a single engine Cessna that had taken off from Long Island MacArthur Airport and was experiencing engine trouble near the park.

The pilot Boaz Eidelberg, 69, of Smithtown brought the plane down safely on a two lane roadway outside of parking field four police said.
Eidelberg was practicing using a GPS when he noticed the engine problem and decided to land, WCBS 880's Sophia Hall reported.
Nobody was hurt during the incident as the road that Eidelberg landed on is not frequently traveled.
"The roadway was not occupied. The location was between the entrance and exit so the location is less traveled," park spokesman George Gorman explained.
Eidelberg was flying a rented plane at the time.
