Small Plane Crashes At New Jersey Airport
LINCOLN PARK, NJ (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Two people escaped injury when their small plane crashed at a northern New Jersey airport.
Witnesses say the plane appeared to bounce off the runway as it came down at Lincoln Park Airport around 3:30 p.m. Sunday.
It then veered left off the runway and ended up in a tree, where the fuselage broke in two. The back half of the plane then fell into a ditch, while the front half became entangled in the tree branches.
Authorities say the male pilot and his sister, whose names were not released, were the only two people aboard the plane.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
