Sleepy Hollow Man Accused Of Strangling Wife Is Indicted
WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- A Sleepy Hollow man accused of strangling his wife has been indicted in Westchester County.
Christopher Howson, 49, was arraigned Monday on charges of second-degree murder and first-degree strangulation, Westchester County District Attorney Janet DiFiore announced.
On Jan. 5, prosecutors said Howson called 911 around 3 a.m. stating that he had strangled his 47-year-old wife Theresa Gorski.
Gorski, who was a part time staff attorney for Bronx Legal Aid Society, was taken to Phelps Memorial Hospital where she died four days later after she was taken off life support.
Howson is due back in court on April 25.
If convicted, he faces 25 years to life in prison.
