Downed Power Wires Torch 20 Cars At Auction In NJ
FAIRFIELD, N.J. (CBSNewYork) - Twenty cars were burned by downed power lines at Skyline Auto Auction in Fairfield Wednesday.
The wires came down at around 7:47 a.m. at 100 Route 46 East when a transformer caught fire.
Firefighting efforts were initially delayed until the power to the lines could be shut down.
The fire was put out at around 9 a.m.
No injuries were reported.
