Sketch Of Suspect Released In Attempted Rape On Lower East Side
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Authorities are still looking for a suspect wanted in a midday sex attack that happened Thursday.
Police have released a sketch of the individual they believe is responsible for the attempted rape, which occurred around 11:30 a.m. inside East River Park at Houston Street.
The 42-year-old victim was jogging when she was thrown to the ground by the suspect, who removed her pants.
However, the suspect fled the scene when the victim fought back, police said.
The victim was taken to Beth Israel Hospital for an evaluation.
The suspect is described as a light-skinned black or Hispanic male. He was seen wearing a grey hoodie and green sweat pants during the time of the incident.
