Sisters Found After Vanishing In Yonkers
YONKERS, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- Two sisters, ages 6 and 13, have been found a day after they disappeared in Yonkers.
Christine Quires, 13, and Rhianna McBean, 6, both of Oak Street in Yonkers, had last been seen in the area of Willow Street around 9 p.m. Saturday.
The girls had not come home after a party Saturday night, Yonkers police Detective Lt. Patrick McCormack told WCBS 880.
Police quickly began an intense search.
"An extensive search was done. We put the listing out on our social media sites, as well as having units do physical searches," McCormack said. "The Westchester County police K-9 Unit brought hound dogs that also assisted us."
Finally, the girls were found on Sunday afternoon.
"Members of the Third Precinct located the two females in a wooded area in Cochran Park," McCormack said. "They appear to be in good shape and healthy condition at this time."
The investigation into the girls' disappearance continued Sunday evening, McCormack said.
