Shots Fired In NJ Gated Community, 1 Dead
NEW BRUNSWICK,NJ(CBSNewYork) -- A stroll through the neighborhood quickly turned into a walk from hell for a woman in New Brunswick, NJ.
Amy Nita told CBS 2's Ann Mercogliano that when bullets started flying inside the Fulton Square gated community, instinct took over.
"Very very loud..sounded like it was right next to me and not that I know what gunshots sound like, but I've never heard anything like that before...Boom..Boom..Boom..Boom and just dove in front of this car," she said.

One of those bullets went through a second floor window and killed a man. Richard Chang, 40, was not an intended target according to investigators.
As authorities flocked to the scene, so did family members and friends of residents. Cynthia Warren told CBS 2 that she feared for her sister's life.
"Somebody called me and told me that my sister's house - someone was killed..so I just called my girlfriend to run me down there and make sure she's ok," she said.
The shooting has left residents on edge, they told CBS 2 that they moved to the gated community for a feeling of safety within its confines, but that the gates are never closed.
"My husband has written letters. The response that they have received is that it's a fire hazard to put the gates up," said one woman.
It remains unclear where the gunshots came from, and who the shooter was, according to investigators.
