Cops: Man Hurls Objects At MTA Bus In East Harlem Road Rage Incident
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A suspect was arrested Wednesday night after throwing items at a Metropolitan Transportation Authority bus in East Harlem.
The 26-year-old suspect was involved in a road rage incident with the MTA bus driver shortly before 8 p.m., police said.
The MTA said a vehicle cut off the M102 bus before the suspect, who was driving the vehicle, threw something at the driver's side window at 116th Street and Lexington Avenue.
The suspect broke part of the side window of the bus.
There were no injuries, police said.
Earlier reports had indicated that the man had fired shots at the bus, from either a firearm or another projectile such as a BB gun. But CBS 2 has since learned that the suspect actually threw items.
It was not immediately known how many passengers were on the bus.
