Police: Suspect Took Cash, High-End Jewelry From Sheepshead Bay Apartment
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police late Sunday were searching for a suspect who took $4,000 cash and assorted high-end jewelry from a Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn apartment.
Around 9:30 p.m. Saturday, the suspect got into a building near Bedford and Voorhies avenues in Brooklyn through a rear basement window, police said.
Once inside, he took about $4,000 cash and assorted jewelry, including six Gucci watches, four Tag Heuer watches, two bracelets, two pairs of earrings, and three wedding rings, police said.
The suspect was last seen wearing white sneakers, black jeans and a dark T-shirt with a light color hooded short-sleeve shirt, police said.
Police have released surveillance video showing the man with what appears to be a flashlight in his mouth, rummaging through a drawer next to a bed, a large cabinet, and a shelf beneath a wall-mounted TV.
