Shake Shack, Blue Smoke Coming To JFK Airport
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Some of New York City's dining staples are coming to John F. Kennedy International Airport.
The newly revamped Terminal 4 is getting a $28 million food makeover expected to be completed by the fall that will feature restaurateur Danny Meyer's popular burger joint Shake Shack and barbecue restaurant Blue Smoke.
Chef Marcus Samuelsson will also have two restaurants at the terminal. Uptown Brasserie will serve up "American favorites with international influences in a stylish and art-deco-inspired setting" and Street Food "offers a diverse menu inspired by street food from around the world in a stylish and welcoming fast-casual eatery."
Travelers will also be able to enjoy sushi at Asobu, aged Prime steaks and Nova Scotia lobster tails at The Palm Bar & Grille, a glass of wine at the French-inspired brasserie Le Grand Comptoir, cupcakes at Cake Tin or hand-crafted sandwiches, salads, fresh breads and pastries at La Brea Bakery.
Central Diner, a 1930s inspired restaurant, and Camden food co., an award-winning market, will also be coming to the airport.
The chains Dunkin' Donuts, McDonald's and Buffalo Wild Wings will also open new locations at the terminal.
