Several Hurt In Garden State Parkway School Bus Crash
WOODCLIFF LAKE, N.J. (AP) -- State police will inspect a school bus that struck a guardrail and some trees off the Garden State Parkway.
State Police Sgt. Stephen Jones says the bus was carrying 13 teenage students from Rockland County, N.Y., to the Frisch School in Paramus when the driver told troopers she lost control around 7:22 a.m. Tuesday.
The accident occurred in the southbound lanes in Woodcliff Lakes.
Jones says the driver and students were taken to hospitals for evaluations as a precaution. He says the injuries appeared to be minor.
The Frisch School promotes the values and study of Jewish heritage.
The bus was towed away so state police could inspect it and all lanes reopened to traffic by 9 a.m.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
