Search On For Suspects In Multiple Robberies Near Port Authority Bus Terminal
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Thursday were asking the public to help find four suspects – only one of them identified – who are wanted in connection with three robberies in and around the 42nd Street-Port Authority Bus Terminal subway station.
Police have released photos of all four suspects. One has been identified as Keanu Kemp, 18. The other three have not been identified, but their photos have been released.
The first attach happened at 1:29 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 12. A 43-year-old man was walking in the 42nd-Port Authority subway station, passing through the enclosed pedway that connects the A, C and E lines at Eighth Avenue with the No. 7 line a block to the east.
A group of eight male suspects came up to the man and punched him, threw him to the ground and kicked him, police said. His wallet with his ID, debit card, MetroCard and $70 was stolen, police said.
This past Sunday around 4:25 a.m., three male suspects targeted a 41-year-old man walking past 360 W. 43rd St. between Eighth and Ninth avenues, about a block from the Port Authority Bus Terminal. One suspect choked the man and threw him to the ground, at which point all three suspects began choking and kicking him and took his iPhone.
And just five minutes later, a 32-year-old man was inside the 42nd Street-Port Authority subway station walking to the northbound platform for the A, C and E trains, when the same group of three male suspects approached him. The suspects punched and kicked the man as he approached the platform and they took his cellphone, police said.
