Sandy Victims Frustrated By NYC Rebuilding Program
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Some victims of Superstorm Sandy were wondering when they would be able to go home at this time a year ago, and many were still waiting a year later.
As WCBS 880's Peter Haskell reported, the victims are frustrated by how slowly the City of New York is moving to help them move forward.

The city's Build It Back program is designed to get people back into their homes.
"We're hearing about waves and waves of money," said Nicole Chati of New Dorp Beach, Staten Island. "So far, the only wave that has hit my door is Sandy."
Chati said she is still waiting and growing impatient.
"Build It Back needs to speed up the process and get people back into their homes," she said.
Chati received $150,000 from her flood insurance, but she needs to rebuild from the ground up. U.S. Rep. Michael Grimm (R-N.Y.) has been pleading for help for her and other residents.
"This is not about beating up anyone; bashing the city," he said.
A city spokesman said millions of dollars have been distributed through the program, and more should flow in the weeks ahead.
