S.I. 5th Grade Chorus Heading To Obama's Inauguration
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) -- A public school chorus from Staten Island is heading to Washington to sing during a prelude to President Barack Obama's inauguration.
Sen. Charles Schumer, chairman of the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies, arranged for the 65 fifth-graders from P.S. 22 to sing on the west front of the Capitol on the morning of the ceremony.
The inauguration is at noon Monday.

"This is crazy, it's like a dream come true," 10-year-old Aaron Lopez told 1010 WINS' Carol D'Auria. "I try not to brag but it's just so exciting to me that it's just coming out of me."
Hannah Isemowski, 10, said singing for the president seems like the only thing she can talk about.
"I don't want to because I feel like if I tell kids that aren't in chorus they get kind of jealous but I have to say it, it just comes out," she said.
The choir will sing "God Bless the USA,'' "Home,'' "On Top of the World'' and "One Dream.''
The chorus has recently performed with Carrie Underwood and "American Idol" winner Phillip Phillips.
Previous P.S. 22 chorus groups have performed at the Oscars and the White House Christmas tree lighting.
