Rye Detectives, Police Officers To Meet With FBI About Rash Of Hoax Emergency Calls
RYE, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) - This week, detectives from Rye and Westchester County police officers will meet with the FBI to try to track down the computer hacker behind a rash of hoax emergency calls.
Following four false reports, police have arrested a 14-year-old boy from Rye, but Police Commissioner William Connors believes that the cyber trail will lead to outside the city.

"We've made an arrest in this case within two days, so people have to know tht despite the fact that they think they're hiding behind the obscurity of the Internet, they're going to be caught," Connors told WCBS 880's Sean Adams. "And they'll be held accountable."
Connors said that there's nothing funny about these pranks, and that it's always dangerous when police officers with guns drawn race to a call.
