WATCH: Incident Involving Ryan Lochte On 'Dancing With The Stars' After Someone Apparently Rushes Stage
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) -- There was an apparent incident after Olympian Ryan Lochte and Cheryl Burke competed on ABC's "Dancing With The Stars" on Monday night.
After their dance routine, it appears someone rushed the stage.
"Excuse me! Hey, back off," judge Carrie Ann Inaba said as security was running by.
Cameras did not show exactly what happened, but Lochte and Burke appeared startled afterwards. The show then cut to commercial.
According to E! News, men wearing anti-Lochte t-shirts rushed the stage, but security was able to stop them. E! News also reports that there was a row of people wearing these anti-Lochte shirts that stood up when the incident happened and then were immediately kicked out.
"I'm doing good. So many feelings are going through my head right now. A little hurt. I came out here and wanted to do something I'm completely not comfortable with and I did and I came out here with a big smile," Lochte said following the commercial break.
People sounded off on social media following the incident.
"Dancing With The Stars" has yet to say what exactly happened.
Last week, Lochte was banned from swimming through next June and will forfeit $100,000 in bonus money that went with his gold medal at the Olympics, part of the penalty for his drunken encounter at a gas station in Brazil during last month's games.
Lochte initially said that he and his fellow swimmers were robbed at gunpoint in a taxi by men with a police badge as they returned to the Olympic Village from a party on Aug. 15.
Instead, Brazilian police said the men vandalized the bathroom of the gas station while intoxicated, were questioned by guards, then paid for the damage and left.
Lochte has been charged by Brazilian authorities for filing a false robbery report.
Lochte has since apologized for the incident and said he over exaggerated about having a gun held to his head. He did admit that he destroyed a sign at the gas station, but said he "never even entered the bathroom."
