Anna D'Souza, who we first told you about in an installment of Stories from Main Street, has filled her living room with food and supplies for troops overseas, without spending much money of all.
Among the items there is toothpaste, cough drops, shampoo, mouse, canned vegetables, deodorants, razors, tea bags, Nestle Crunch, batteries, fish oils, medicines, aspirin, rice, macaroni, pens, hot sauce, mustard, and pancake mix.
Her latest shopping trip came to more than $140. After coupons, she paid $7.19. The receipt was about six-feet-long.
Clipping coupons started out as a hobby for D'Souza, of Valley Cottage. It's now her passion.
The West Nyack post office is, once again, shipping the supplies to the military absolutely free.
