Rockland County Woman Indicted In Booze-Bashing Tantrum
NEW CITY, N.Y. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- A 31-year-old Rockland County woman was indicted Friday on a charge of criminal mischief for allegedly destroying $1,600 in liquor at a store by sweeping dozens of bottles of booze onto the floor, breaking many of them.
County District Attorney Thomas Zugibe said it was Spring Valley resident Mahogany Morrow who was captured on surveillance video taken at Rite-Buy Wines & Liquors in Nyack on Feb. 23.
Zugibe said Morrow entered the shop and demanded help from the store manager. He says when she was told to wait, she became enraged.
The prosecutor said as she stomped out, Morrow extended her right arm and intentionally knocked bottles of alcohol from a shelf.
The county public defender's office, which is representing Morrow, had no comment.
