Rockland County Wants NY State To Pay Back $80 Million
NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- Rockland County is urging the state to pay back $80 million for helping to fund state-run services.
County executive Scott Vanderhoef's is now calling on the governor to pull out his state checkbook to reimburse the county for the state-mandated services that Rockland has already paid for.

"That's money that we could use, said Vanderhoef. "These services already have been rendered. The bills are in, our vouchers are there and they're sitting there somewhere in New York state while we're struggling for cash."
Vanderhoef says the delay in getting reimbursed is unfair and unprofessional.
