Rockland County JCC Hosts 2012 Maccabi Games
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – The Olympics may be over tonight, but another kind of international competition is just getting underway in Rockland County.
The 2012 JCC Maccabi Games feature Olympic-style sporting events for Jewish teens.

Organizers at the Rockland Jewish Community Center estimate 2,000 athletes, coaches, volunteers and fans from all across the world will be in the Lower Hudson Valley for the week-long event.
Delegations from across the U.S., Canada, Europe and Latin America will be taking part in the Games.
Rockland County tourism officials said local attractions and businesses could see a big boost during the Maccabi Games.
Officials estimate $1 million could be pumped into the local economy during the competition.
The Maccabi Games run through Friday.
