Rockaway Township Man Indicted In Fatal Hit-And-Run

MORRISTOWN, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) - A northern New Jersey man has been indicted aggravated manslaughter charges stemming from a hit-and-run accident that killed a man earlier this year.

Morris County prosecutors say 27-year-old Edward Koloski, of Rockaway Township, faces several other counts in the indictment made public on Wednesday, including vehicular homicide and hindering apprehension.

Javan Robinson, of Rockaway Township, was killed Feb. 23 while trying to cross Route 46. The crash occurred just weeks before Robinson's girlfriend gave birth to their son.

Prosecutors have said that Koloski made a ``conscious effort'' to cover up the crash.

Koloski remains free on $350,000 bail. His attorney declined comment on the indictment.

Authorities say the case will be tried by Passaic County Prosecutor's Office, though they haven't said why it was transferred.
