Rochester Man To Reach Milestone In Fundraising Effort On Cyclone Roller Coaster
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - Coney Island's Cyclone roller coaster will play a part this week in a fundraising effort to help end early onset Alzheimer's.
This summer has been the ride of a lifetime for Michael Moran of Rochester.
"My goal is 100 roller coaster rides in 100 days," Moran told WCBS 880's Jim Smith.
His fundraising effort is named Kevin's Coaster Crawlers in honor of his late brother.

The rides are not just for fun, but to raise money and awareness in honor of his late brother's favorite hobby.
"Unfortunately, he passed away last year at age 54 from early onset Alzheimer's disease," said Moran. "He got diagnosed at 51, and by 54 he was gone."
Moran's fundraising effort is named Kevin's Coaster Crawlers in honor of his brother.

Michael been crisscrossing the northeast to complete his roller coaster mission.
"I've been to Lake George, I've been to Great Adventure, I've been to New England," he told Smith
On Tuesday, Moran will cross the goal line on the world-famous Cyclone in Coney Island.
"Which, coincidentally, is the roller coaster that my brother - his last ride," said Moran. "It will be very emotional because that was his final ride a couple of years before he was diagnosed."
Moran's roller coaster tour has raised nearly $6,000 for the Alzheimer's Association.
