Reward Offered In Fatal Buffalo Shootings
BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) -- The funeral for two of the victims killed in a mass shooting in Buffalo turned into a spirited fund-raiser, with religious leaders and members of the community lining up to contribute to a reward fund for information leading police to the gunman.
The Rev. Darius Pridgen and his True Bethel Baptist Church started the fund with $4,000 during the joint services for 27-year-old Shawn-Tia McNeil and her 32-year-old cousin, Tiffany Wilhite, but other pastors, business owners and a host of people from the pews came forward and swelled the amount to around $20,000.
If the shooter turns himself in, the money will be divided among victims' families.
Eight people were shot outside the City Grill restaurant early Saturday morning, four of them fatally.
