WCBS 880's Peter Haskell reports
About a month after 9/11, Elizabeth Williams and her family moved back into their home. She remembers the stench and the dust.
Now, she's worried about her teenage daughter.
"When she gets a cold, if it goes into her chest, this is a big concern," Williams told WCBS 880 reporter Peter Haskell. "... and it can go on for months."
This bill gives her some peace of mind.
Williams says, "It would help pay for the medical care, if G-d forbid, I would ever need it."
She also says a friend was just diagnosed with a rare form of cancer.
Congress finally passed the 9/11 health bill on Wednesday.
