Residents React To Swastikas In East Meadow
EAST MEADOW, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) - Painful and hurtful are how residents of East Meadow characterize the finding of swastikas drawn on the sidewalk on Andrea Road and Sherwood Roads.
They were discovered over the weekend.
It's not funny, said resident Marlene Gold.
"I don't think anything is a joke. When you do those kind of things, I think they're malicious and they're underlying hatred," she told WCBS 880 Long Island Bureau Chief Mike Xirinachs.

It's important to locate the perpetrators, said resident Scott Shore.
"They just can't get away with it without any retribution," he said. "It's not right."
Today is Yom HaShoah, Holocaust Remembrance Day.
Nassau County Police are asking anyone with information on the bias incident to call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS.
