WCBS 880's Sophia Hall reports.
The intersection is the spot where Konstantinos Stayropoulos was killed trying to cross the street one year ago.
District leader Costa Constantinedes said more stop signs and street lights are necessary to keep the neighborhood safe.
"It's a very dangerous situation," Constantinedes told WCBS 880's Sophia Hall. "From 21st Street to 28th Street you have no stop signs, no speed bumps, no traffic lights and you have three schools."
The owner of a nearby deli, who witnessed that fatal accident in December 2009, said another man was hit in the intersection just three weeks ago. Thankfully, he survived.
