Residents Hit Stores To Restock On Food, Shovels
SECAUCUS, N.J. (CBSNewYork) – Secaucus and other Bergen County residents stormed the Home Depot and Stop And Shop to stock up on supplies as the blizzard approaches.
Workers had to restock the draining supplies of shovels, salt and ice melt as customers lined up early in the morning.

Gladys came and picked up two shovels from North Bergen.
"One of me, one for my husband," she said, adding that her shovels from last year broke from "too much snow."
Steven and his 6-year-old son Dylan came together to prep for the big snow.
"I'm gonna get a shovel for myself and I think my son wants a shovel so I'll get a little one for him and brave through it," he said.
When asked if his son will be his helper this year, Steve said Dylan will "do must of it."
The Home Depot in Milltown also featured long lines with 20 people waiting before the doors even opened up. Many of those waiting were coming to get the usual--shovels and salt.
One woman named Chris, who had left her snow blower at her mother-in-law's house, said she was picking up two shovels.
"We have two healthy, teenage kids. They're going to be our snowblowers," she said.
Wess, however, was looking for a gas can.
"So I can have gas in the house when I need it for my snowblower," he said.

Meanwhile, the Stop And Shop in Clifton had lines down the aisles with people trying to replenish after the holidays in preparation for the storm.
Tina, from Nutley, said she was buying all kinds of healthy items to get over the overeating from the past week.
"There are plenty of leftovers, but I'm sick of looking at them," she said.
Rick, from Passaic, also came to the Stop and Shop to buy food.
"I hope you guys are right. I'd hate to buy this food for nothing," Rick said.
