Report: Tiger Woods Gets A Place Downtown

NEW YORK (1010 WINS/CBS 2) -- The Big Apple has a tiger by the tail.

There's word that Tiger Woods got a bachelor pad in Manhattan, just days after his divorce became final.

US Magazine says the golfing great moved into an apartment downtown and was introducing himself as the new neighbor. It was not disclosed which building he moved into.

Over the weekend, Woods competed in the Barclays Golf Championship in Paramus, N.J. He tied for the 12th at the tournament.

Woods' divorce from Elin Nordegren became official last Monday, just nine months after his middle-of-the night car crash outside their home set off shocking revelations that the world's most famous athlete had been cheating on her through multiple affairs.

The couple had married in October 2004 in Barbados and have a 3-year-old daughter, Sam, and a 19-month-old son, Charlie.

The marriage was described in court documents as "irretrievably broken" with no point in trying to reconcile. Terms of the divorce were not disclosed, except that they will "share parenting" of their two children.
