Report: Rodman Escorted From NYC Hotel For Making Scene, Talking Up Kim Jong Un
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Dennis Rodman is back in America following his visit with Kim Jong Un in North Korea, and apparently he can't stop talking about what a tremendous time he had overseas.
According to the New York Post, the Hall of Famer was asked to leave the Time Hotel in Midtown on Sunday for blabbering about how much he likes and admires the dictator.
"He was at the bar at Serafina for three hours," one witness told the newspaper. "He kept saying what a nice guy Kim is, and how Kim just wants to talk to President Obama about basketball. He was waving around a signed copy of the dictator's huge manifesto, telling everyone they should read it."
The former Chicago Bulls star was allegedly inappropriate and making a scene.
"Dennis was making a total jerk of himself," the witness added. "He wouldn't leave, and he wouldn't let anyone talk to him about shutting up or what an oppressive country North Korea is. Eventually he had to leave the bar because the bartender was starting to get [bleep]ed-off."
Rodman is said to be a regular at the bar, but sources told the New York Post that customers are getting increasingly tired of his behavior.
"He's always a problem," one source told the newspaper. "He is loud and does weird stuff. Like, he'll come down to the front desk in his bathrobe in the middle of the night and make demands that people have to run to the store for him. He's belligerent about it. I thought he was just on TV getting sober."
The 51-year-old has had a well-documented issue with alcohol abuse. He has appeared on both "Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew" and "Sober House," and is currently on Donald Trump's "Celebrity Apprentice."
Representatives for the Time Hotel opted not to comment on the incident, according to the New York Post.
