NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- Congressman Charlie Rangel's House ethics trial will begin on Monday, but the Harlem representative might have more trouble brewing.
On the even of his ethics trial, Rangel is facing new questions about the propriety of his actions, reports WCBS 880's Peter Haskell.

The New York Post reported the recently reelected congressman might have run afoul of rules related to his defense.
The Post indicated Rangel used money from his political-action committee to pay his attorneys. While he could pay his lawyers from his campaign fund, the PAC is a different story.
There are reports that Rangel will defend himself during the hearing in order to avoid paying his high-priced lawyers.
Rangel faces 13 charges, including failing to pay taxes on his vacation home and improperly receiving four rent-regulated apartments.
