Report: Over $150,000 Worth Of Cleanse Drinks Stolen From Queens Facility
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Sunday were in search of a thief whole stole over $150,000 worth of cleanse drinks from the BluePrint juice facility in Long Island City, Queens, according to a published report.
The thief struck the BulePrint Cleanse facility in Long Island City on Friday afternoon, according to a New York Post report. The man filled out a shipment slip and used a forklift to load 13 pallets with 15,303 bottles into his truck, the newspaper reported.
The real driver who was supposed to take the shipment to Allentown, Pa., showed up a couple of hours later, the newspaper reported.
The value of the stolen goods was about $153,000 the newspaper reported.
The juice bottles would have been pressurized before hitting store shelves, the newspaper reported. In their state when the thief stole them, they would only be potable for about five days, the paper reported.
BluePrint Cleanse manufactures raw and unpasteurized juice products for cleansing of the digestive tract.
