Report: Ana Marquez-Greene, Girl Killed In Newtown Massacre, Had Jazz Composition Named After Her
NEWTOWN, Conn. (CBSNewYork) -- Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre victim Ana Marquez-Greene, 6, inspired a song written by her jazz musician father three years ago, according to a published report.
The family released a video through Fox Connecticut Sunday, showing Ana with her brother Isaiah – a third-grader at Sandy Hook – seated at a piano singing a church hymn called "Come Thou Almighty King."

The family described her as "a child devoted to Jesus Christ."
Ana's father, Jimmy Greene, was a Hartford native who grew up in Bloomfield, Conn., and moved with his family to Newtown earlier this year so he could take a job as a music professor and assistant jazz program coordinator at Western Connecticut State University in Danbury, the New Haven Register reported.
In 2009, Jimmy Greene – a saxophone player – released an album called "Mission Statement." One track, as described by the New Haven Register, features "a clear, lilting saxophone… supported by light, harmonizing notes from a piano. It starts quiet and careful and then explodes into a joyous melody." The track is called "Ana Grace."
Ana's mother, Nelba Marquez-Greene, grew up in Puerto Rico, the Register reported. The Sun News Network of Canada reported Ana's grandfather, Jorge Marquez, serves as mayor of Maunabo, Puerto Rico, the newspaper reported.
Adam Lanza, 20, first killed his own mother, than opened fire on two classrooms at the school Friday, killing 20 children and six adults before taking his own life.
In addition to Ana, the child victims are identified as:

• Noah Pozner, 6;
• Caroline Previdi, 6;
• Jessica Rekos, 6;
• Avielle Richman, 6;
• Benjamin Wheeler, 6;
• Allison Wyatt, 6.
The adult victims were:
• Rachel Davino, 29;
• Dawn Hochsprung, 47, the principal of the school;
• Anne Marie Murphy, 52;
• Lauren Russeau, 30;
• Mary Sherlach, 56, the school psychologist who planned to retire next year;
• Victoria Soto, 27, a first-grade teacher.
