Report: Giants Agree To Deals With 5 Free Agents, Including Dwayne Harris And J.T. Thomas

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The Giants reportedly agreed to terms with wide receiver/return specialist Dwayne Harris during what was for them a very busy first day of free agency on Tuesday.

According to Newsday, the former Cowboy will earn $17.5 million over five years.

The 27-year-old caught seven passes for 116 yards last season. He also returned 30 punts for 275 yards and 30 kickoffs for 742 yards.

The Giants also agreed to a three-year deal with former Jacksonville middle linebacker J.T. Thomas.

In addition, they got together with linebacker Jonathan Casillas on a three-year, $10.5 million deal, ESPN's Adam Caplan reported. The 27-year-old Jersey City native split the 2014 season between the Buccaneers and the Patriots. In 13 games he recorded 37 combined tackles, a forced fumble and two stuffs.

Caplan also reported that general manager Jerry Reese agreed to a two-year deal with right tackle Marshall Newhouse and waived offensive tackle Rogers Gaines.

It was reported earlier in the day that New York agreed to a contract with running back Shane Vereen.
