Report: Former Morris County, N.J. Clerk Dead In Apparent Murder-Suicide
DENVILLE, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- Police Thursday evening were investigating an apparent murder-suicide in Denville, New Jersey.
As WCBS 880's Jim Smith reported, Morris County, New Jersey officials said the matter remained under investigation Thursday night, and the county Prosecutor's office would only say a man and woman were found dead in a home on Arden Road in Denville.

But the Star-Ledger cited sources alleging a possible murder suicide informing former Morris County clerk and local Republican political fixture Joan Bramhall.
Jennifer Hegarty lives right next door.
"Who knows, right?" she said. "I don't know what would have brought something like this on, but something triggered it."
Public tax records indicate the home is owned by Bramhall and her husband, but police have not released any IDs.
Bramhall served as a member of the Morris County Republican Committee and was its chair from 1988 through 1994, the newspaper reported. She also served as a county freeholder alongside current Gov. Chris Christie from 1993 to 1998, the paper reported.
She became county clerk in 1999 and served until last year when she decided not to run again, the paper reported.
