Report: Brawl Narrowly Avoided Between A-Rod, Bosch Lawyers
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Alex Rodriguez is appealing a lengthy suspension handed down by Major League Baseball, and his legal team has vowed to fight until the bitter end.
We doubt the New York Yankees third baseman had this in mind.
One of A-Rod's attorneys, Joe Tacopina, "had to be physically restrained from brawling with another lawyer" during the star's grievance hearing in Manhattan two weeks ago, according to the New York Daily News.

Tacopina was reportedly frustrated with how long Biogenesis founder Anthony Bosch, testifying on behalf of MLB in the league's latest performance-enhancing drugs scandal, had been on the stand.
Tacopina and Bosch's lawyer, Julio Ayala, got into a heated verbal exchange during a break in the hearing, according to the Daily News. Tacopina then "bull-rushed" Ayala and the two had to be "restrained," though no punches were thrown, the paper reported.
Rodriguez was suspended 211 games for his reported connection to Biogenesis, the shuttered anti-aging clinic accused of distributing PEDs. A dozen other players accepted 50-game bans from MLB. Milwaukee Brewers star Ryan Braun was suspended for 65 games.
A-Rod and Bosch were both in the bathroom during the lawyer-on-lawyer incident, the Daily News reported.
Tacopina later apologized to Ayala, according to the paper. Rodriguez's hearing is expected to resume this week. A ruling from arbitrator Fredric Horowitz may not come until well into the offseason.
