Report: Bouncer Caught In Crossfire Killed Outside Brooklyn Nightclub
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - A bouncer was killed in the early hours of Sunday morning, reportedly trying to break up a gunfight inside an East Flatbush nightclub, police said.
The New York Post reported the 4:30 a.m. shooting was sparked by rival groups fighting inside Pat's Palm Tree nightclub at 3605 Church Avenue.
The victim, a 32-year-old man, was shot several times, police said. He was taken to Kings County Hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to police.
The fighting inside the club apparently spilled out into the street and the bouncer was caught in the crossfire, the Post reported.
The victim has not been identified and an investigation into the shooting is ongoing, police said.
