Report: Alec Baldwin, Photographer Get Into Confrontation
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - Actor Alec Baldwin has found himself in yet another scandal and PR headache.
According to the New York Post, a reporter for the paper approached the "30 Rock" star outside his East Village apartment on Sunday morning to ask Baldwin for a comment on a lawsuit against his wife.
The Post reported that Baldwin grabbed reporter Tara Palmeri's arm and told her he wanted to choke her to death. Palmeri reportedly played a recording of Baldwin's remarks to the police.
The actor then called Post photographer G.N. Miller racial slurs, the Post reported, and then police were called to the scene.
"That's not cool at all. I hope that it wasn't true because I am a fan of his. I definitely hope it's not true. If it is, shame on you," an East Village resident told 1010 WINS' Glenn Schuck on Monday.

Shortly after the incident, the Post reported that Baldwin tweeted then deleted his comment about the encounter.
"Thank u 2 NYPD officers who came to my home 2day so that I could file a formal complaint against NY Post 'photographer' who assaulted me," he tweeted.
Through his spokesman, Baldwin denied everything the Post reporters accused him of on Sunday.
One of Baldwin's neighbors on 10th Street said when the actor is outside, other residents know to keep their distance.
"When I see him, he's pretty much like 'leave me alone, don't bother me.' It's very obvious on his face so I kind of leave him alone," the neighbor told Schuck.
Both the Post photographer and Baldwin have filed claims with the NYPD saying that they were attacked.
On Monday, Baldwin didn't say much to reporters who were waiting outside his apartment as he walked his dog, Schuck reported.
Last June, a photographer accused Baldwin of punching him outside the Manhattan Marriage License Bureau. Baldwin denied the claims.
And last March, Baldwin got into a confrontation with a flight attendant after he allegedly refused to turn of his phone before take-off.
