Rep. Steve Israel Wants National Parks To Sell Only Items Made In The U.S.A.
RONKONKOMA, NY (WCBS 880) - Rep. Steve Israel of Long Island says that one way to slow the sale of made in China products here in America is to prevent them from being sold in our national parks.

"My legislation will mandate that all products sold in our national parks or historic places be manufactured, designed, printed in the United States," Israel said on Thursday.
Israel pointed to a tie featuring the Liberty Bell and a Teddy Roosevelt teddy bear as examples of items made in China now being sold in our national parks.
It's something he hopes to put an end to.
He says it is one way to save American jobs.
"This is just a common sense step. We buy America in America's national parks," said Israel.
The vice president of Autronic Plastics in Westbury estimates his company has lost some 90 percent of its emergency exit sign business to China.
Sen. Charles Schumer has said that unfair Chinese trade practices are costing New Yorkers jobs.
