Rep. Frank Pallone Opposes New Fee Structure For Sandy Hook
MIDDLETOWN TOWNSHIP, NJ (WCBS 880) - The price to park and hang out for a day at Sandy Hook could go from $10 one-day passes to $20 two-day passes, if the National Park Service's proposal goes through.

But one New Jersey Congressman isn't too keen on the idea.
"Of course, they're suggesting that you can use it for two days, but a lot of people just come down for the day and to double the fee in these trying economic times, I don't think is the right thing to do," said Rep. Frank Pallone.
Pallone says other beaches in his district are more expensive, but says a lot of people without a lot of money go to Sandy Hook.
He's asking the Park Service to hold a public hearing on the matter.
